Flashback - Three Years Ago
The man had left, Emi had learnt the basics of a new technique and she had plenty of time left in the day. She headed back towards the beach where fate had had a strange twist. She walked the way through the forested area again in her rather tattered clothes and through the grassy plains once again. A dinosaur could be seen in the distance, the same dinosaur. Upon noticing her it turned to face her and began to run, an easy meal, a human that had strayed into its territory. It got a little closer when it noticed it was the same person from before. It stopped abruptly and swiftly turned away and began to walk back. It turned into a full paced dash when Emi began to chase after it. The poor thing. Highly amused Emi changed directions and ran off towards the beach satisfied with the little scare she had given the dinosaur.
So she had returned again. Hopefully this time she would not need to react to a mysterious attack. The rubble still remained from the last. She shuddered at what could have been. Still she was not here to just look back in hindsight she was here to practice a new attack she had learned. Unlike the man in the orange outfit she was going to fire off the energy wave into the sea where it had much less potential to do any harm. She did first scout for any ships in the distance that might accidentally become prey to one of her uses of the Kamehameha. Speaking of which she had heard of the technique before. Humans were not so in touch with their Ki as Saiyans. After all they were not a warrior race, evolved for combat. As such the technique was heard of by the greatest martial artists on Earth as the most fearsome attack in the martial arts. Perhaps for human standards it was but Emi was pretty confident that her older brother Kye could pull off a more powerful technique. Actually she was pretty certain, she had seen him use attacks of great power. One of which being the Galick Gun. That energy wave was extremely powerful. She had a lot of catching up to do to be able to stand beside her brother though so she would train diligently.
Emi focused her Ki as she brought her hands together. The familiar blue glow shone, a thing of beauty as well as power. She concentrated more of her Ki into the technique as she powered up. "KA". "ME". "HA". Her hands shook as she kept the Ki together before she was ready to launch the attack. "MEEEE". "HAAA"!!! She released the power and a beam of shining blue energy flew out cutting through the deep blue sea parting the water into two, waves cupping between the place where the wave of energy pierced through. Emi concentrated her power keeping connection with the beam soaring rapidly stretching far into the distance before she ceased the technique. In the distance the wave shrunk down in size before it disappeared completely. The technique was surprisingly easy to launch but what about manipulating the direction of the wave. She had only fired it in a straight line and was confident in her ability to do so after a few repeated attempts. Perhaps it was something to try out. Emi pondered about how see would go about doing that. She thoughts lead her to the conclusion that by manipulating the location of her hands and holding back some of the power of the technique it would allow her to change the direction of the Kamehameha wave. It would be useful to do, as it had battle worthiness as it gave her more options that way as well as helping her overall Ki control and general power. Keen to put her thoughts and idea in to action Emi got up from the ground shaking the grains of sand off herself before she focused herself to 'bend' the wave to her will. She brought her hands to her side again and quietly spoke the utterance. It was helpful, it helped her focus her energy for the attack. "Kaaa". She brought out the energy from herself through er hands. "Meeee". It began to gather into a ball of energy between them. "Haaa". Emi brought out more energy for the Kamehameha wave. "Meee". She brought her hands a little further back now prepared to launch. "HAAA"!!! Emi fired off the wave into the sea but held back some of the energy still. She brought her arms upwards and released a little more of the power and just as she predicted and wanted the energy wave rose along the trajectory she wanted. She extended out a little and straightened her arms again and released the rest of the energy which flew straight again as she wanted. It was easy for her. Perhaps it was to do with the natural genius she had in her and the fact she had been honing her skills with her brother for such a long time that she was able to after a few more attempts virtually master the technique in a few hours. The events of the day had been worth it. She was more than happy with her progress and would treat herself to a long relaxing soak when she got home.
