Appearance: Kembu has dark red hair that spikes in random directions and is barely held in place by a white headband tied in the back. He wears a golden scarf around his neck that serves as a good-luck charm—a family heirloom to be exact. He wears a sleeveless, knee-length, bluish-green robe of very loose proportions over a green, short-sleeve shirt, and he wears beige, baggy pants that tuck into his high, green socks at about mid-shin level. His belt matches his undershirt and has a golden buckle. Finally, he wears brown boots to match his wrists’ brown greaves.
Personality: Kembu is an all-around good kid. His learning to fight and become a fierce warrior was no more than an act of filling a need. He wanted to be able to defend his people alongside their other warriors if need be, but there is no question among those who know him that he is a benevolent soul. Kembu is a very patient person, and he is kind to people even when it is difficult.
With regard to goals and ambitions, Kembu seeks a few things, none less noble than another. For one, his father is sick with a recurring illness; there are good days and bad days, but for the most part, the illness scares Kembu because, though it is not viral, it is lethal. Kembu seeks to find a cure for his father as soon as possible. On a more broad scale, many Konatsians frequently express their opinions that they, firstly, fear certain other vicious peoples of other planets and, secondly, wish (no pun intended) to use the Dragonballs as a means to protect their planet in some way; Kembu seeks to find a way to make this dream a reality.
History: On the day that Kembu was born, a fierce battle took place on his home planet. From a political perspective, the purpose of this battle mainly dealt with the discovery of a Tuffle refugee camp on the Planet Konats. Kembu’s birth coincided with what was considered to be an inevitable Saiyan strike against the Konatsians in retaliation for them having harbored Tuffles in secret. It had been projected that the attack would take place on the night of a full moon, so they were not prepared when an assault had come several days early.
In the grand assault, Tuffles fled into space, though many were slaughtered before they could escape, and Konatsians attempted to combat the Saiyans. The Saiyans were surprisingly few in number, which was indicative of their low expectations for a challenge from the Konatsians. In the assault, a nine-year-old Saiyan warrior in the making and his five-year-old brother were deployed amongst them, and to test them, the Saiyans created artificial moonlight to transform the boys as they all averted their eyes from it. The gargantuan apes ravaged a city on their own, completely unbeatable against their foes. Some heard the Saiyans refer to them by the names “Genzhi” and "Asperok".
The attack left Konats in a grim state for a while, and Kembu is consistently haunted by the fact that he was born on that day. This is one of the main reasons why Kembu has trained so hard throughout his childhood. He hates to hear of his home planet being so terribly afflicted, as this was only one of several stories. He wants to be a sort of guardian for his people, and the first step, in his opinion, is getting ahold of the Dragonballs. Ultimately, he wants to find a way to have a dragon on Konats.
